Despite the distances, Camalig Bank employees were convened virtually on Friday, December 17, 2021, to attend the Christmas program special.

This year, Camalig Bank has faced several uncertainties that hampered the Bank’s goals; these things have challenged the organization to stay afloat and bounce back gradually. Amidst these trying times, the Bank will never falter with resiliency on its arm, Jose Misael B. Moraleda, Camalig Bank’s President/CEO, pointed out during his message.

Jam-packed with raffle draws and awards, the program highlighted the awarding of the special citations for the employees who manifested exemplary performance for the year.

Josephine V. Dino, Head of the Information Technology Department, has been honored as the Officer of the Year; Kathleen T. Muñoz, Branch Manager of Virac Office, was hailed as the Manager of the Year; meanwhile, Nick Lennon M. Fortes, IT System Administrator and Software Developer, has been commended as the Corporate Office’s Best Engaged Employee.

Furthermore, Sheena M. Berches of Legazpi City Office was declared the Employee of the Year for Cash Unit; Ma. Salvacion Brijoey C. Vargas of the Municipal Rural Bank of Nabua has been identified as the Employee of the Year for Accounting; Maria Angeles T. Suaviso of Virac Office has been recognized again as the Employee of the Year for Marketing, a repeat awardee; and, Ryan Dave M, Bres of Sorsogon City Office has been awarded as the Employee of the Year for Loans and Collection Unit.

The program recognized loyalty awardees for their continuous service in the Bank: Mary Jonelyn A. Ardales, the Project Coordinator of Camalig Bank Foundation, has been with the organization for nine years.

Employees who have been with Camalig Bank for ten continuous years of service are Jovenson Teilhard O. Abalon, Marketing Supervisor of Camalig Office, Raquel P. Alcala, Marketing Supervisor of Legazpi City Office, Clarice M. Aragon, Head of the Internal Audit Department, Rabboni Jah M. Bausa, Marketing Supervisor of Castilla Branch Lite Unit, Ralph S. Cambaling, OIC Head of the Credit Monitoring Unit, Lalynfrancis P. Landong, Branch Operations Officer of Milaor Office, Sheryll L. Navarro, Assistant Manager/Marketing Officer of Masbate City Office, and Junko James M. Tarroza, Branch Operations Officer of Virac Office.

Moreover, employees who were recognized for 15 years of their continuous service with Camalig Bank are Michelle G. Alvarez, Branch Manager of Camalig Office, Jonalyn L. Mirafuentes, Branch Manager of Municipal Rural Bank of Nabua, and Jeffrey L. Vallespin.

Also, winners of the Christmas Competitions were awarded to wit: Johanna B. Monis, Head of the Human Resource Department whose authored theme for the program was chosen: “ When a pandemic strikes us with uncertainty, we rebound with resiliency. ”, Iriga City, who was selected as the best-decorated office, Group 1 composing of Virac, Viga, and Bulan Offices was declared as 1st for the Choral Competition, and Group 2 comprising of Ocampo and Milaor Offices was the 1st Placer for the Open Performance Category.
