The Bicol University College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (BU-CSSP) Psychology Department, headed by Salvacion L. Villafuerte, Associate Professor IV, a proponent of the extension project, partnered with Camalig Bank on a research program that will focus on mental health.

With its four-phase designed program, it primarily aims to establish baseline data on the mental health needs of the Camalig Bank employees. The results will form a basis for developing a mental health policy that will be utilized for the creation of mental health promotion strategies.

Phase 1 of the Program will be allotted to the assessment of mental health needs. Phase 2 will be the time to develop a mental health policy. Phase 3 shall be the implementation of mental health promotion strategies. Phase 4 will involve the evaluation of the implemented strategies.

This research undertaking will run for three years commencing in April 2022 and ending in March 2025.
