Believing that a community cannot stand without the school and likewise the school without the community, Camalig Bank MCO Staff volunteered to support the Brigada Eskwela Activity Program of Masbate National Comprehensive High School and Bagumbayan Elementary School in connection with the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Bank.

The activity happened one week ahead before the formal opening of classes: May 22, 2019 to May 26, 2019. Since the schedule of the said activity fell on weekdays, the whole personnel were unable to attend as a team. Two (2) to three (3) MCO staff attended the activity each day of the week.

One of the motivations for rendering help and support for the Brigada Eskwela was that, the environment plays an enormous role in the students’ learning. The classrooms, as well as the facilities that are not conducive for learning hinder the quality of knowledge they will be acquiring. So, the initiative of MCO staff is to clean up, repair and repaint the school and its facilities before the opening of classes. Also, the team donated eight (8) gallons of paint and paint brushes to MNCHS and BES as part of their charity program.

Early morning of May 27, 2019, the teachers of MNCHS and BES held a short closing program to signify the successful outcome of the afore-stated event. Camalig Bank MCO staff attended the event together with different groups of volunteers.
