In support of the Libro at Iba pang Babasahin para sa Barangay Project (LAB) spearheaded by Pag-asa National High School (PNHS), the Camalig Bank Foundation, Inc. (CBFI) donated reading materials and educational toys for young learners. The said items were given by Camalig Bank employees as their way of showing support for the project. Mr. Jeremy Cruz, principal of PNHS and the head of the LAB initiative, wants to address the problem of illiteracy and reading deficiency of students in Albay. By putting up libraries in the selected barangays of Legazpi City, as a start, the fruition of such initiative serves as a first step in pursuit of the vision. The chosen pilot beneficiary is barangay Bonga, Legazpi City. Bonga would be accessible to the students living in the vicinity most especially in this time of a pandemic. The library also serves as a drop-off and pick-up point of the school modules since the PNHS has employed the modular approach of learning. Mr. Cruz reiterated that the library is for everyone who wants to learn.
