Camalig Bank Foundation (CBF) and Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF) once again joined hands in conducting the Soup Kitchen and Financial Literacy Training activities at CBF’s beneficiary schools and barangays during the months of July and August 2017.
Twenty-five (25) packs of congee mix provided by JGF made possible the Soup Kitchen Activity conducted in five (5) public schools, namely Maslog High School, Maslog Elementary School, Mariawa Elementary School, Pigcale Day Care Center and Lourdes Elementary School (Sorsogon); and in five (5) barangays, namely Pigcale and Buraguis (Legazpi City), and Hologan, It-Ba, and Balasbas (Manito, Albay). Participants in the barangays were mainly 4Ps beneficiaries.

Aside from the setting up of soup kitchens, CBF also conducted Financial Literacy training sessions. The concept and importance of saving at an early age was the highlight of the training sessions in the public schools. While in the sessions for the 4Ps beneficiaries, the basic concepts on saving, budgeting, and banking were discussed. The Financial Literacy training sessions were conducted on ten (10) different dates during the months of July and August 2017.
