(001) SEMINAR ON CREDIT FACILITIES

Every success does not happen by fluke, especially now that we are facing tough times in a tough economy.

Camalig Bank is a product of committed, dedicated, effective management and marketing efforts. No doubt that it ranked as one of the best rural banks in the region. For us to be guided on how to reap the fruits of our endeavor; and to make sure that we are heading towards the right direction, the Training Development and Recruitment Unit (TDRU) of the bank extended timely guidance and support thru a seminar on Credit Facilities.

The seminar was held last August 20, 2011 at Jennifer Kababayan Hotel. It was an 11-hour seminar participated by 20 personnel from Loans and Collections Unit (LCU) and selected marketing staff of each branch.

Five of the best speakers were tasked to discuss on different important topics. Elenita Padilla (Manager – Milaor Branch) discussed the topics on Client Interview, CIBI and Credit Documentary Requirements. Her interesting anecdotes and pleasant humor truly captivated her audience. The discussion was sequenced and paced that all really enjoyed and learned.

Joy P. Carreon (Manager – Virac Branch) presented the topic on Cash Flow. Truly a master of the most difficult and confusing topic, she delivered it in such a way that the audience absorbed the information in one sitting without losing interest.

Rosewin B. Napay (Manager – Head Office) however, talked about Loan Computations. Her discussion contained the right and relevant information which sustained the hearers’ attention all throughout the presentation of the topic. Lots of questions and clarifications were raised and they were properly addressed.

The topic on Target Market Identification and Client Call was discussed by Francis Y. Egar (Manager – Iriga Branch). The topic did not go mind–numbing for he started it with a humorous and logical beginning and finished it off with an appropriate ending.

Lastly, Donna Pampanga (CARU Assistant) tackled Loan Facilities and Loan Products. It is indeed vital in the day to day operations of the bank. The topic helped us understand thoroughly that the Bank products and facilities are the core of increasing our market and decreasing probabilities of missed clients. As part of the seminar, open forum was encouraged where personnel raised some questions and clarifications. Also, exercises were given by the discussant to check whether the topic was understood well by the participants.

Indeed, everybody enjoyed and learned something from the seminar. It was truly a success, proof of which are the smiles painted on the faces of the participants despite long hours of sitting. We deeply appreciate the strong support of our bank and we are looking forward to another comprehensive and advanced seminar like this.

Amidst the tough times, we believe that we are gearing towards meeting the challenges head on, equipped with the necessary skills and attitude.
